AADP Certified Professionals
The Biofeedback Association of North America is unable to accept AADP certified Holistic Health Practitioners as members at this time because our insurance carrier does not accept AADP certification for malpractice and general liability insurance. AADP members may qualify for approved certification with BCIA, TLCTA or NTCB by following their certification requirements and BANA guidelines. In the meantime, AADP members may qualify for Associate or Internet Membership in BANA on an individual basis.
Caution: Not allowing AADP certified individuals to become Professional or Insurance Members of BANA is because of persistent rumors AADP is a "paper mill" operation that issues certification to unqualified persons. Consequently, only Associate or Internet Membership is available to AADP certified professionals until you become certified by an accredited certification board.
Restrictions on Membership
If you are currently licensed and practicing as a licensed medical doctor, medical homeopath, medical naturopath, chiropractor, dentist, veterinarian, psychologist, psychotherapist or counselor you are not eligible for BANA membership at this time. If you are currently licensed in any of the above professions you are eligible for membership as a Professional Member in either the Medical Biofeedback Association (MBACB) or the International Medical Association for Natural Therapies (IMANT).
