About the Biofeedback Association
The Biofeedback Association of North America (BANA) is a nonprofit membership organization for
biofeedback and neurofeedback professionals in Canada and the USA. The
membership fees pay for the coverage and web site packages provided by Stratus
coverage and the costs of the executive director and web master.
Executive services are provided under contract with IPX Executive Services, Inc. The executive director, treasurer and
web master are subject to supervision by the executive board elected by the
membership.
The elected officers of the Association are:

Marcie Solomon, President - the Chief Executive Officer of the
Association

John Hache, President Elect - the Chairperson of the Workshops
Committee

Bart Keough, Vice President - Chairperson of the Grievance
Committee
The non-voting, ex-officio members of the board of
directors of the association are the executive director, and treasurer. These officers serve at the pleasure of the executive board.
The President Elect and Vice President are to be elected
during the month of December each year and take
office January 1st of the following year. Once elected, the President
Elect automatically ascends to the presidency when that position is vacated.
Vice Presidents may succeed themselves as often as elected. The
Executive Director and Treasurer serve at the pleasure of the Executive Board. The founding president and vice president will serve until December 31, 2009. The first president elect will be elected during December 2008.
The standing committees of
the association are:
Grievance committee - settles disputes
members have with the association (this committee is chaired by the Vice President)

Ethics committee - settles professional conduct issues concerning members

Workshops committee - determines which proposed
workshops will be accepted and assigns a date and time for each workshop (this committee is chaired by the President Elect)
The executive board may constitute any other committees at any
time to provide such services as the executive board shall determine.
